Mundane Happenings and Phil Learns to Leave Charles Alone.

Nikkei Simmer: Building up your family's finances from scratch is quite tiring, and intensive to say the least. A lot of this involves a lot of fishing and watching the sun travel across the sky.

...if Heather wasn't painting she was tracking down seeds which hopefully one of us will be able to plant (whoever gets up their gardening skill the quickest). Eddy finally decided that he wasn't getting any younger and decided to jump into the track that would get him into the field that would get him to Hit Movie Composer and thus fulfill his lifetime wish. The part-time job just wasn't doing it for him and we were having to pay off a mortgage to boot. So he took the plunge and went to the theatre and got himself a job. And of course for him, there was always stuff in the fridge. Sometimes he made it, sometimes we made it.

...the cost of eggs is unbelievable, so it's nice to have that chicken coop. There's always eggs, and we've had a few chicks hatch which when they're grown, they are found homes.

I did go at one point to the consignment store to see if they did as they said that they would. But sometimes, it's just easier to find a buyer right off the bat instead of giving the consignment store a cut of the profit.

Heather is increasing her painting skill and she's practically achieved everything there is to achieve in her self-employed painter's career. She just recently became "Master of the Brush" which meant that she hit Level 10 and I'm absolutely ecstatic for her. In fact her paintings are going for over §2000 per painting now and steadily increasing.

Phil always seems to get into an argument with Charles the Evil Chicken. I don't think he learns that Charles is one mean ol' bird. He's got a mouth like a seasoned sailor and can cut your down with a well-timed insult. The best thing for Phil to do is ignore the bird. Maybe a hawk will take him one of these days. We should only be so lucky.

Most every day is pretty mundane. The usual things like painting, fixing the bed, coming home from fishing or work, or fixing the shower...when things break.

...and oh holy plum did Phil ever get his tail end kicked. He went out to pick on Charles the Evil Chicken yet again...and got his rear handed to him.

Yeah, I just had to scare the shit out of him too. Maybe he'll learn to leave Charles alone after this.
