Chapter Five - Starting the Plan

The next day was a rushed day. I had things to do at City Hall. Y'know...when you're taking over the town, it all starts with the Art of the Deal which in my case was buying up any shares in any business that was in town and outmanoeuvering every single sim that was able to be outmanoeuvred. When I got hungry, I headed over to Hogan's Diner. Well, at least the food was tolerable and the menu was half-decent. Deidre was at work, but she also had some extra-curricular reading that she was assigned by her boss. Namely stuff to do with cloning or something. It was starting to get dark when she got up and headed for home.

We got up early the next morning for a little together time. With her starting work at the science center yesterday, it was a rather quiet home, especially when she wasn't around.

When you're the talk of the town, which we were since the newspapers loved reporting about our hostile takeovers of several companies in town, you gather enemies. And the best way to combat those enemies is to have some line of self-defence. For me it meant learning alchemy (which surprisingly worked) and for Deidre it meant learning about science at the science station - which it also helped her work considering she was only a test-subject. And all of this before work hours.

My day on the other hand, once Deidre went off to work was pretty uneventful. I finished up my study of alchemy, learning how to create a few elixirs, then went off to play farmhouse roulette with the beekeeping box. Luckily, I didn't get stung.

Then I headed to the park and well, Deidre met up with me there. I decided to get in some fishing, while Deidre decided that she was going to get in some social networking. I did manage to get skilled to the point of being able to catch a rainbow trout. So at least that was something.

Couldn't help but laugh at Michael Steel and Fiona McIrish after the latter found herself on her heinie and the former planted himself facefirst into the roller-rink floor.

Evidently Buster, River, Parker and Molly all decided that they were going to have an hot-dog eat-off. River was definitely giving Parker the "I got this all wrapped up" look. Well...no-one died. Pity.

That night, Deidre headed over to one of the coffee-shops that dotted Sunset Valley with the intention of buying out the business. After all, why not? Our whole plan was centered around buying up the entire town and making it strictly for the benefit of us, (meaning Deidre and myself). This, after all, wasn't meant to be charity. Anything that puts the simoleons in the bank for us, well, that's a good thing.

Anyways, Jared was there. The Watcher doesn't like Jared, Jared got fried. And that freaked out poor Jared so much that he promptly passed out. Deidre got a malevolent kick out of seeing that. Since she was evil, seeing anyone have something unfortunate happen to them, it amused her greatly.

Shocking, really.

Chapter Four - Deidre

Well, I'd just got back from a run to the grocery store...when I noticed a sublime vision on my front lawn looking over at my house. Black hair, gorgeous blue eyes and a figure to die for. I felt a little stirring in that little shriveled heart o'mine. Naw, this wasn't someone who I was going to tell to "Get off my lawn". She noticed me staring at her and looked at me with a small smile. Something told me that she was a kindred spirit. I could feel the evil vibes coming off her. Oh...together we could make some havoc.

...and it appeared as though she was as interested in me as I was in her. Because she got that twinkle in her eyes and my eyes could have been mistaken because I saw some hearts go up over her head. Yeah, she was hot and I was bothered. And of course, my eyes couldn't keep roaming. I mean...look at the clothes she was in. Any chance that I could keep my eyes above her neckline was futile.

Of course, one thing led to another. We were both feeling kinda frisky...

...so we sat down at the kitchen table and had some key lime pie. (What? You think I'm going to mention what happened? A guy doesn't kiss and tell... y'know...it's not nice to do that to a lady)

Since we were both extremely tired (you know...from eating; after all, eating takes energy, right?) we both headed to bed. She had no problems in sleeping in the same bed as me, though we'd just gotten to know each other and well, it was a nice warm night. In the morning though, Deidre decided that she needed to get herself a job and headed for the science center. She'd also gotten The Beast, so she rode that to her work. And seeing her in black riding a red The Beast was quite arousing. It suited the rebel in her.

While she was riding The Beast back from the Science Center, I was doing my best to put Charles the Evil Chicken in his place. Yeah, I kicked his tail end. He didn't like that in the least. Well, he's just lucky I didn't wring his neck and turn him into chicken stew.

We ate some dinner. Which reminds me, I gotta do some cooking: we're getting low on dinner items in the fridge.

I asked Deidre when she got back if she'd be interested in going to the Summer Festival with me; who knows where that came from but we found ourselves at the Festival. I even put on roller-skates to impress her and well, I got my skating ability up to the point where I was doing spins on the roller-rink.

Then we had a shoot-out at the soccer (football) pitch. I'm competitive and well, my competitive juices were flowing. I blocked all but one of her kicks - the ball seemed to float in slow-motion towards my hands. Yeah, that's right, Dustin, go ahead and stare at my Deidre, you know she'd never go for the likes of you. You only wish that Iliana looked as good as my Deidre.

We headed home from the Festival Grounds as it got dark. Woe betide any pedestrians because we were on a straight-line home from the park and well, anyone got in the way...well, they were enroute to getting run-over. Of course, just as I was headed off to sleep some guy decided to call up - some telemarketer or something. I gave him my two cents worth. "GET OFF MY DAM PHONE!!!!"

Well, it was wonderful to have a nice warm body in bed with me...and we both drifted off to sleep.

Chapter Three - Making My Mark

If there's one type of sim that I absolutely loathe, it's these insufferable paparazzi. They're like the maggots that collect on a rotting piece of flesh looking for a juicy morsel to pick over. The one thing that makes me cackle with glee is seeing one of them zapped by the Watcher. Evidently Narcissa Vatos had nothing better to do but to tail me and see where I was going. She evidently got in the way of a stray million volts from the blue.

Man, that must have hurt.

Next morning after getting up and picking the harvest from the trees, I decided to head down to the festival grounds. It allowed me to heckle the skaters at the roller-rink. Why not, it's something to do. And it gave me a "feel-good" all around, so it was worth it. I didn't really want to go out there and make a fool out of myself by trying to skate. It's not in my genes to be able to skate, so I decided that I'll just hang out and do whatever I can to find seeds and other things at the park.

Instead of eating the greasy food at the park, I came home and cooked myself a nice plate full of lime-pancakes. At least I won't be getting indigestion from my cooking, since I took a course on cooking and leveled up.

Aleister's Potion Shop was one of the places that I drop off surplus gemstones and other items that I want sold, so I headed over there. Evidently some guy from Egypt had a problem with me so I gave him all that he could handle. I also gave him a mean high-five, sneering at him that he couldn't get it right.

That night I raided the science center's garden for more fruits and vegetables to plant. At least I didn't have to outlay cash for seeds. Then in the morning, I had a chance to read a skillbook on cooking and concoct up an elixir in my little room downstairs. Then I went outside to take care of the garden. At least if I have a garden, I won't go hungry in the winter-time and the greenhouse keeps it nice so that the plants won't freeze and I'll be able to pick them year-round.

When I went down to the park later on that day, I met Anne Song. She was one of the paparazzi, but she seemed approachable so I decided to utilize her in getting to know the area. At least this way, I knew what was going on...and paparazzi can't tend to keep their mouths shut so at least that way, I'm always in the know as to what's going on. Then I'll be able to tailor my next move to what can be measured as the town reaction. Because once I have my hands in everything, then it'll be time to move out the Landgraabs, the Altos and the Goths. And the funny thing is, that like every two-bit movie villain, the three wealthiest families in Sunset Valley certainly didn't realize that it's better to keep silent and let the populace find out when it's too late; rather than rub ones hands comically in malicious glee all whilst spouting off all their plans - which makes it even easier to counter.

There were plenty of things to do at the festival grounds at the park. Four sims decided that they were going to have a hot-dog eating contest. It drew my attention for a little while, but of course, none died from vomiting up the contents of their stomach. At least they were smart and didn't go at such a break-neck pace that they weren't able to keep everything down. It bored me. If there wasn't some risk to life, the contest wasn't worth watching as far as I was concerned.

So rather than fall asleep on my feet watching an absolutely boring hot-dog eating contest, I headed home and worked a bit on my inventing; cut a few gemstones that I placed on my Carters XXL table and then went off to raid Simis Bachelor's garden. Well, let's just say that I don't like criminals either. And evidently, he was the crime boss who worked hand in hand with Nick Alto. So it was hilarious watching him gibber speechlessly as I walked through his house; flashing him a savage grin as I emptied his entire garden.

He said, "You can't do this to me. Do you know who I am?"

I just said, "Just watch me 'cuz you won't be able to touch me. Your garden is mine, Simis." and gave him the middle-finger.
